Job summary

Tract Capital Management, LP in Seattle seeks a Manager, Inside Plant Engineering to lead the inside plant discipline across data center campuses, owning pre-construction design, construction delivery, and turnover for cabling, MDF/IDF, racks, pathways, and life-safety systems.

You will manage a small team, drive contractor performance, ensure code compliance, coordinate with cross-functional groups, and set standards for design, QA/QC, and commissioning to deliver reliable, scalable in-building

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years in inside-plant or structured-cabling engineering or data center infrastructure.
• 3+ years managing a small technical team and coordinating with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead and develop a small team of specialists (Structured cabling, Life-safety, Signal systems).
• Allocate work, balance campus build schedules, and act as technical escalation point.
• Own end-to-end Inside Plant engineering—from pre-construction design to commissioning and as-built turnover.
• Guide cabling design standards and QA/QC criteria for consistent campus builds.
• Oversee life-safety and safety systems deliverables and ensure code compliance.
• Review and validate drawings, BOMs, and redlines for accuracy and constructability.
• Drive contractors to deliver on time and within budget; ensure clean handover to Daily Operations.
