Lead Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. Additionally, a Lead Teacher works collaboratively with an Assistant Teacher and the entire faculty.

The Lead Teacher also works closely with the Director on daily school operations.

Educational Qualifications
  • All candidates must meet one or more of the following criteria:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Child Development
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Child Development
  • Current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential
Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment
  • Design classroom arrangements supporting developmental goals
  • Implement classroom management and emergency procedures
  • Promote healthy eating practices
  • Ensure compliance with state ratio requirements
  • Perform cleaning responsibilities as needed
  • Post and follow classroom schedules and policies
  • Maintain professionalism and support school philosophy
  • Participate in professional development and faculty meetings
