Job summary

A fast-growing food processing operation in Blue Island, IL is seeking a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician to support a three-shift plant on-site. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and pay of $40.00 to $65.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

First or second shift options are available with a dynamic, lean culture and room for kaizen ideas. As the senior hands-on mechanic, you will diagnose and fix electromechanical issues, weld as needed, and ensure safety and

Qualifications

• Electrical experience with 480V three-phase systems.
• SCADA, PLC, or VFD exposure is a plus.
• MIG and stick welding preferred.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and LOTO.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair in an industrial plant.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical and electrical systems across a three-shift food processing plant.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems (480V equipment).
• Weld, fabricate, and rig as needed.
• Install, align, and service pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, screens, and tanks.
• Use SCADA, PLCs, VFDs, sensors and instrumentation to locate faults.
• Complete PM work in the CMMS and keep records accurate.
