The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician for a fast-growing food processing operation in Blue Island, IL. This on-site role supports a three-shift plant and offers a competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

You will diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems, weld, maintain pumps, conveyors, and gearboxes, and ensure compliance with OSHA and LOTO. The position emphasizes hands-on leadership and reliability.

Qualifications

• Electrical experience with 480V three-phase systems.
• Mechanical troubleshooting in an industrial plant.
• MIG and stick welding preferred.
• SCADA, PLC, or VFD exposure is a plus.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and LOTO.
• Comfortable in a physically demanding environment without air conditioning.

Responsabilités

• Handle mechanical and electrical maintenance across a three-shift food processing plant.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems, including 480V equipment.
• Weld (MIG and stick), fabricate, and rig as jobs call for it.
• Install, align, and service pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, screens, and tanks.
• Use SCADA, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and instrumentation to track down equipment faults.
• Complete PM work in the CMMS and keep work and parts records accurate.
• Follow and enforce LOTO, confined space, hot work, and OSHA rules.
• Help the maintenance manager plan and prioritize work.
• Be the person any shift can count on when something breaks.
