Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Blue Island, IL, is seeking a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician for a on-site role in a fast-growing food processing plant. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and pay ranging from $40.00 to $65.00 per hour, with first or second shift options.

Qualifications

• Electrical experience with 480V three-phase systems.
• Mechanical troubleshooting in industrial plants.
• MIG and stick welding preferred.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• SCADA/PLC/VFD exposure a plus.
• OSHA/LOTO knowledge required.
• Comfortable in a hot, dirty plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance across a three-shift food processing plant.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems, including 480V equipment.
• Weld (MIG and stick), fabricate, and rig as needed.
• Install, align, and service pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, screens, and tanks.
• Use SCADA, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and instrumentation to track faults.
• Complete PM work in the CMMS and keep records accurate.
• Follow LOTO, confined space, hot work, and OSHA rules.
• Assist maintenance manager to plan and prioritize work.
• Be the go-to person when something breaks.
