Job summary

RRC Solutions Group is seeking a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician for a fast-growing food processing facility in Blue Island, IL. This on-site role supports a three-shift operation, with a pay range of $40.00 to $65.00 per hour based on skills and experience.

The Senior hands-on mechanic will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, perform MIG and stick welding, and ensure safety rules (LOTO/OSHA) are followed while maintaining CMMS records.

Qualifications

• Electrical systems experience on 480V three-phase equipment.
• Industrial plant maintenance experience; food/chemical environments preferred.
• Welding experience in MIG and stick.
• Experience with SCADA, PLCs, or VFDs is a plus.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• OSHA/LOTO knowledge required.
• Comfortable working in a hot environment without AC.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance across a three‑shift food processing plant.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on 480V equipment.
• Welding (MIG and stick), fabrication, and rigging as needed.
• Install, align, and service pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, screens and tanks.
• Utilize SCADA, PLCs, VFDs, sensors and instrumentation to troubleshoot faults.
• Complete PM work in CMMS and maintain accurate records of work and parts.
• Enforce LOTO, confined space, hot work, and OSHA rules.
• Assist maintenance manager with planning and prioritization.
• Be a reliable on-call technician for shifts when breakdowns occur.
