Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician for a fast-growing food processing plant in Blue Island, IL. This on-site role covers a true three-shift operation with a lean maintenance team and a strong focus on lean, 5S, and kaizen improvements.

You will handle mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshoot 480V systems, weld as needed, and work with SCADA/PLC/VFD controls. Safety rules including LOTO and hot work are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Electrical experience with 480V three-phase systems.
• Industrial plant maintenance experience.
• Welding experience (MIG and stick) preferred.
• SCADA, PLC, or VFD exposure a plus.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• OSHA/LOTO knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical and electrical systems across a three-shift food processing plant.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Weld, fabricate, and rig as needed.
• Install and service pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, screens, and tanks.
• Use SCADA, PLCs, and VFDs to locate faults.
• Complete PM work in the CMMS and track parts and records.
• Follow safety rules (LOTO, hot work, OSHA).
• Assist maintenance manager in planning and prioritizing work.
• Be the go-to person on each shift when something breaks.
