Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician for a fast-growing food processing operation in Blue Island, IL. This on-site role offers $40.00 to $65.00/hour, with a 1st or 2nd shift schedule and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems across a three-shift plant, service 480V equipment, weld (MIG and stick), and install pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and tanks.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining electrical systems with 480V three-phase
• Industrial plant mechanical troubleshooting experience
• Welding experience (MIG and stick) preferred
• SCADA/PLC/VFD exposure is a plus
• CMMS experience preferred
• OSHA/LOTO knowledge required
• Comfortable in hot environment without air conditioning

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical and electrical systems across three shifts
• Diagnose and fix electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic problems on 480V equipment
• Weld, fabricate, and rig as needed
• Install and service pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, screens and tanks
• Use SCADA, PLCs, VFDs, sensors to locate faults
• Complete PM in CMMS and keep records
• Follow LOTO, confined space, hot work, OSHA rules
• Assist maintenance manager in planning and prioritizing work
• Be a reliable on-call person for shifts
