Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking a Lead General Maintenance professional at our manufacturing plant(s). You will supervise the maintenance team, plan and execute preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot a wide range of equipment including electrical and mechanical systems.

Strong data recording and safety compliance are required to keep downtime low and uptime high. The role emphasizes leadership, problem solving, and efficient maintenance planning in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of lead maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment, facilities maintenance, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervises hourly personnel involved with maintenance, repair, programming and servicing of plant facilities and equipment.
• Leads the preventative maintenance program on production equipment and facility systems.
• Collects and records data such as downtime, PM checklists, calibration, and parts usage.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment using 5S principles.
• Provides immediate solutions to machine or facility problems.
• Schedules and prioritizes planned maintenance work and coordinates with supervision.
