Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a leading global flooring manufacturer, is seeking a maintenance technician to perform reactive and preventive maintenance on precision manufacturing equipment. The role involves servicing and testing machinery, supporting troubleshooting, and contributing to safety improvements.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in a manufacturing maintenance environment and experience with automated production equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 5+ years experience in maintenance of a manufacturing environment preferred, experience with automated production equipment a plus.
• Experience in installation and maintenance of various implements, such as pumps, bearings, pulleys, belts, chains, gearboxes, bushings, etc.

Responsibilities

• Services, repairs, adjusts and tests various machinery, devices and equipment related to the manufacturing process.
• Utilizes detailed knowledge of production equipment processes and operations to aid in machine troubleshooting and operation support.
• Collaborates on preventative maintenance planning and executes on tasks with limited supervision.
• Identifies warning signs of impending equipment failure to assist with parts ordering.
• Monitors and reacts to maintenance needs, often independently.
• Utilizes various mechanical and electrical test equipment, tools, and necessary paper/digital resources to complete assigned tasks.
• Complies with all company safety rules and procedures. Identifies, advises and implements safety improvements.
• Plans, implements, and documents process improvement measures.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
