Job summary

UNC Finance and Operations in Chapel Hill, NC, seeks an advanced IC&E specialist to lead instrumentation, controls and electrical systems in a large power plant setting. The role requires independent work on complex systems and the ability to train junior technicians.

You will program, modify and tune PLCs and DCS loops, develop control graphics and historian reports, and ensure EPA/DAQ compliance while maintaining boilers and related balance of plant equipment.

Qualifications

• Advanced level IC&E expertise in power plant environments.
• Ability to independently manage instrumentation, controls and electrical components.
• Lead and train junior technicians on complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of boilers and balance of plant equipment.
• Program, modify and tune PLCs and DCS control loops.
• Develop control graphics and historian reports; ensure EPA/DAQ compliance.
