Job summary
NECI in the Northeast seeks a Senior I&C Engineer II to own the largest and most complex I&C scopes with limited oversight. You will lead control system hardware design and field execution, and act as the escalation point for difficult technical problems, guiding the work of engineers on your projects.
This role emphasizes technical outcomes, design quality, and customer confidence. You will own design packages for DCS and PLC hardware, review UL 508A panels, and ensure compliance with NFPA 70,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years of I&C, controls, electrical, automation, or process instrumentation engineering experience.
- 2–4+ years in a senior, lead, or technical owner capacity.
- Willingness to travel 30–50%, mainly within New England.
Responsibilities
- Serve as internal and external technical authority for one or more core I&C technology areas.
- Lead the most complex control system hardware, panel, instrumentation, and industrial network scopes.
- Support engineering standards, design approaches, and review expectations adopted by the team.
- Mentor engineers in hardware design, field troubleshooting, and customer communication.
