Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead airbreathing propulsion development for hypersonic programs at the West Palm Beach, FL campus. The role spans from concept design to hardware delivery and requires coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.

You will manage program progress and cost, interface with customers and suppliers, and contribute to proposals and technical briefings. Occasional travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 9+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 7+ years; or 13+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Air-breathing propulsion experience (Turbojet, Turbofan, Ramjet, Scramjet, etc.).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Projects, Word, etc.).
• Ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support engineering teams on airbreathing hypersonic propulsion development.
• Manage technical progress and cost; interface with program manager, chief engineer, and customers.
• Provide technical consultation for business development activities and briefings.
• Serve as technical lead on proposals to government customers or primes.
• Provide written and verbal status reports to AMPT management and participate in product team meetings.
• Travel up to 10% to suppliers and other production sites.
