Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Systems Engineer - Hypersonic Propulsion for our West Palm Beach, FL campus. This full-time role supports hypersonic propulsion research, testing, and verification with a focus on planning, integration, and reporting across SDV&T activities.

The ideal candidate will have a background in aerospace or mechanical systems engineering, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Systems Engineering or related field with 4+ years experience; or a Graduate Degree with 2+ years.
• Demonstrate leadership, strong interpersonal, and communication skills for team environments (virtual and in-person).
• Ability to obtain a US security clearance is required. The role may involve travel and off-site testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and capture test objectives to create detailed test planning documents.
• Integrate and control test equipment, instrumentation, and test data; deliver final test reports.
• Lead Test Readiness Reviews and ensure safety and test requirements are met.
• Provide on-site customer technical support for engine ground tests and flight tests.
• Travel up to 30% for off-site testing; coordinate projects with general supervision.
• Possess the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
