Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Hydroblasting Crew Leader for the Monroe, LA area. The role directs abrasive-laden blasts, ensuring removal of scale, paint, rust, and dirt with proper PPE and safety practices.

The ideal candidate has high school education and at least 3 years of experience, plus TWIC card and NCCER certifications if required. The position emphasizes safety, site orientation, and compliance with client requirements.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience required.
• TWIC card required.
• Basic knowledge of hydro blasting equipment and the hazards associated with it.
• May require NCCER certifications at some jobsites.
• Written pre-employment qualification test.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Hazard Communication orientation/test.
• Turner Industries Group, LLC Indoctrination.
• OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87).
• Job site orientation.
• Client safety requirements (dress code, PPE).

Responsibilities

• Move controls to adjust pressure and concentration of grit to obtain the specified finish.
• Wear gloves and a helmet/hood to protect eyes and hands from airborne dust and debris.
• Mask areas not being sandblasted when required.
• Order materials as needed and follow supervisor directions.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisor.
