Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Hydroblaster for a position in Baton Rouge, LA. The role involves directing abrasive-laden blasts to remove scale, paint, rust, and dirt and to achieve an even finish, in a non-exempt, safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include operating blasting controls, donning PPE, and following client procedures. Qualifications include high school or equivalent, TWIC, and potential NCCER certifications; drug tests and medical evaluation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• TWIC card required.
• Basic knowledge of hydro blasting equipment and hazards.
• NCCER certifications may be required at some sites.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and medical evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust pressure and grit concentration to achieve specified finish.
• Wear PPE including respirator, gloves, helmet, and protective clothing.
• May mask areas not being blasted and order materials as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor.
