Job summary

Turner Industries, a major industrial contractor based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is seeking a Hydroblasting Crew Leader to direct abrasive-laden blasting operations in the Baton Rouge area. The role involves ensuring proper equipment use, safety protocols, and quality finishes on metal and composite surfaces.

The position requires leadership experience, a minimum of three years in hydroblasting or related fields, and compliance with client safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of experience required.
• TWIC card required.
• May require NCCER certifications at some jobsites.
• Written pre-employment qualification test.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Hazard Communication orientation/test.
• Turner Industries Group, LLC Indoctrination.
• OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87).
• Job site orientation.
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client.
• Safety equipment as required by the client.

Responsibilities

• Moves controls to adjust pressure and concentration of grit to obtain specified finish.
• Wears gloves and a helmet or hood to protect against breathing sand-laden air and to prevent injury to eyes and hands.
• May mask areas not being sandblasted.
• May order materials as needed.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
