Job summary

Turner Industries in Baton Rouge, LA area is seeking a Hydroblasting Supervisor to join our Specialty Services team in the Monroe, LA region. You will lead hydroblasting crews, interpret blueprints, and ensure safety and on-time completion of projects.

The role requires at least one year as foreman/crew leader in hydroblasting, a TWIC card, post-offer drug screening, OSHA eye protection, and strict adherence to client safety rules. Expect varied field work and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience as a Foreman/Crew leader in hydroblasting and vacuum field.
• TWIC card required.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87).
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.).
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place.

Responsibilities

• Interprets blueprints, sketches, written and/or verbal orders; estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete the job; assigns duties, lines up and follows up all work and is responsible for production of the unit; inspects work to ensure adherence to company standards; trains and assists workers in performance of their duties; supervises and coordinates activities of assigned construction workers; interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations; establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel; analyzes and resolves work related problems; implements project safety programs; may maintain time, production and other records; may study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job; may make cost estimates for contracts; performs additional assignments as required.
