Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Hydroblasting Supervisor to join our Specialty Services team in the Baton Rouge, LA area. The role requires knowledge of hydroblasting technology, independent judgment, and directing groups of workers engaged in hydroblasting and vacuum field.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, estimating hours, coordinating work, enforcing safety, training workers, and ensuring productivity to meet project schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience as a Foreman/Crew leader in hydroblasting and vacuum field.
• TWIC card required.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87).
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.).
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place.

Responsibilities

• Interprets blueprints, sketches, written and/or verbal orders; estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete the job; assigns duties, lines up and follows up all work and is responsible for production of the unit; inspects work to ensure adherence to company standards; trains and assists workers in performance of their duties; supervises and coordinates activities of assigned construction workers; interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations; establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel; analyzes and resolves work related problems; implements project safety programs; may maintain time, production and other records; may study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job; may make cost estimates for contracts; performs additional assignments as required.
