Job summary

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, EPA CFC removal certification, and four years of related experience; a journeyman license in plumbing, electrical, mechanical or gas is

Qualifications

• Leads and trains assigned mechanics/technicians.
• Monitors and services HVAC/R equipment.
• Responds to work orders promptly and diagnoses malfunctions.
• Maintains accurate work records.
• Reads mechanical prints and wiring schematics.
• Ensures safety and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and work direction in installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Gathers failure information, references manuals, and decides efficient repair methods.
• Reviews requests for contracted repairs and makes recommendations.
• Repairs or replaces system parts; tests for leaks; recharges systems.
• Keeps records of work requested, completed, hours and materials.
