Job summary

SSC Services for Education is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance on facility systems, guided by a supervisor and master mechanic. The role requires independent problem solving and adherence to correct work practices.

Qualified candidates will have 5 years’ experience, relevant trade licenses or EPA certification, and the ability to work with blueprints and schematics. This is a hands-on, on-site position with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting.
• License or certification in electrical, EPA refrigerant, or plumbing.
• Experience with blueprints/schematics; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs a mixed workload of preventative maintenance and non- complex repairs.
• Updates work statuses and documents tasks in CMMS.
• Determines manpower, material needs, and deadlines for jobs and projects.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs, and diagnoses HVAC/ electrical / mechanical systems.
• Reviews outside vendor projects and makes punch lists.
