Modigent is seeking a Service Technician III to perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and startups on commercial HVAC systems across diverse facilities. You will lead challenging service calls, mentor junior technicians, and ensure energy-efficient, code-compliant solutions while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive hands-on commercial HVAC service experience.
• Journeyman-level proficiency in diagnosing and resolving advanced system issues independently.
• EPA Section 608 certification (Universal strongly preferred).
• Physical ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces and at heights.
• Commitment to safety, OSHA regulations, and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, chillers, boilers, and large-scale controls.
• Perform major component replacements, refrigerant handling, system balancing, startup/commissioning, and retrofits.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and performance testing to improve energy efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Lead full service calls from dispatch to completion and communicate findings and recommendations to customers.
• Ensure compliance with codes, EPA requirements, and Modigent safety standards; maintain thorough records.
