Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration to install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial settings. You will interpret schematics, diagnose issues, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across facilities.

You will lead field teams, manage service calls, and operate company vehicles within assigned regions, with a strong focus on preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification and 2 years mechanical maintenance or construction experience.
• 4 years experience in mechanical maintenance or related field.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal Refrigerant certification.
• HVAC-R journeyman where required.
• Valid drivers license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
• Clean driving record per FMCSA standards in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair refrigeration units such as racks, walk-ins, and reach-ins.
• Conduct inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead and mentor field teams on procedures and safety practices.
• Manage service calls and coordinate with external providers.
• Operate company vehicles safely on assignments.
