Job summary

Walmart in Sedalia, MO is seeking a skilled Technician, Facility Services (HVAC-Refrigeration) to install, maintain, and repair systems across commercial facilities. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong technical proficiency, the ability to read drawings, and effective communication with customers. You will lead teams, manage service calls, and operate company vehicles within your region.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification plus 2 years of mechanical maintenance or construction experience for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant handling certification.
• Ability to read plans and schematics to ensure code compliance.
• Experience configuring and calibrating HVAC controls and building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
• Conduct inspections and repairs in compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations.
• Lead and mentor field teams on technical procedures and safety practices.
• Communicate technical information effectively with customers and coordinate service calls using digital tools.
• Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.
