Job summary

Walmart in Georgetown, TX is seeking an experienced HVAC/R technician to install, configure, and service commercial refrigeration and building controls. You will interpret plans, ensure code compliance, and coordinate with a team to deliver reliable temperature and energy management solutions.

The role requires EPA refrigerant handling certification, a valid driver's license, and 2+ years in mechanical maintenance or a related field.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field.
• 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for HVAC/R.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems and related components.
• Diagnoses and resolves mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Performs preventive maintenance and schedules repairs.
• Mentors apprentices and coordinates with management.
• Operates a company vehicle and participates in on-call rotations.
