Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior HVAC/R Technician for Round Rock, TX, to lead installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of commercial HVAC/R systems. You’ll troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, supervise field teams, and manage refrigerant handling per EPA standards.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience.
• EPA Type I and Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid driver’s license with clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems including refrigeration units and control panels.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues to optimize performance.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Manage refrigerant handling per OSHA, EPA, and codes.
• Coordinate and mentor field teams with hands-on training and evaluations.
• Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance logs, and expense reports.
• Support on-call rotations for urgent service needs.
• Manage parts inventory and vendor relationships to meet priorities.
