Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC seeks a Senior HVAC Product Development Engineer to lead design, optimization, and sustaining engineering of residential and commercial HVAC families. You will manage end-to-end NPD projects, drive agency compliance, and provide cross-functional technical guidance across manufacturing, sales, quality, and supply chain teams.

The role emphasizes DFSS/DFMA proficiency, DoE, and hands-on lab testing, with a track record of releasing multiple product families.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required; Master’s degree (MS) preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years of product design and project engineering experience preferred, with a proven track record of successfully releasing at least two product families.

Responsibilities

• Product Development & Engineering: Design, optimize, and qualify residential and commercial HVAC systems using advanced simulation tools, analytical methods, and experimental techniques.
• Project Leadership: Manage individual NPD projects and special engineering requests across the full product lifecycle, tracking project timelines, costs, and KPIs.
• Qualification & Compliance: Lead product qualification programs and interface with regulatory and testing agencies to maintain full industry compliance.
• Cross-Functional Support: Serve as a technical SME providing guidance to manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and sales/marketing teams.
• Documentation & Technical Execution: Prepare BOMs, engineering drawings, PCNs, and present designs to stakeholders and clients.
• Mentorship & Process Improvement: Guide engineers, lead data analysis, and apply DFSS/DFMA principles.
