Job summary

UG2 LLC is seeking a Lead HVAC Mechanic to lead maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of HVAC and building systems in a highly regulated life sciences environment. You will provide technical leadership to HVAC technicians, ensuring reliability and safety of critical systems across laboratories, manufacturing, and support spaces.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, system optimization, and collaboration with Facilities, EHS, engineering, and vendors to maintain

Qualifications

Active HVAC/Refrigeration license or certification as required by jurisdiction (state/province).
Minimum five years of experience as an HVAC mechanic in commercial, industrial, or life sciences facilities; prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
Experience with critical HVAC systems and building automation.
Strong safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance mindset.

Responsibilities

Provide daily leadership, technical direction, and mentorship to HVAC technicians and maintenance staff.
Coordinate work orders, assign priorities, and ensure timely, high‑quality completion.
Troubleshoot complex HVAC and control systems and coordinate with facilities/vendors.
Maintain documentation in CMMS and ensure compliance with site procedures.
