Macy's Inc. is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead safe operation and maintenance of HVAC and electrical building systems. The role covers preventative maintenance programs, on-site repairs, and cross-site coordination.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial HVAC, EPA certification, and experience with chillers and BAS. Strong communication and project leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification required for handling refrigerants.
• 5+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience with both air-cooled and water-cooled chiller systems.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BMS) and low/control voltage troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, diagnose, and troubleshoot commercial HVAC equipment including RTUs, chillers, and pumps.
• Lead preventive maintenance programs and site repairs across multiple locations.
• Maintain logs for boilers and chillers and verify inspections.
• Utilize CMMS to complete work orders promptly.
• Perform electrical maintenance on transformers, switchboards, generators, MCCs, and controls.
• Evaluate and implement new HVAC/electrical technologies and strategies.
• Train and mentor colleagues and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
