Job summary

Southwest Airlines seeks a Sr HR Product Project Manager to shape Workday solutions across the HR portfolio. You’ll link HR Product, Technology, and business leaders to create a clear roadmap and maintain alignment through deployment.

You’ll lead intake, portfolio health, release readiness, risks, and adoption for Workday deployments, coordinating global teams and partners to ensure quality and value for Southwest Employees and Leaders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Workday HCM product capabilities and configuration concepts across core domains
• Knowledge of product management practice, including intake governance, prioritization frameworks, backlog management, and roadmap development
• Knowledge of Agile and SAFe delivery methods, including sprint cadence, Program Increment planning, and release management
• Knowledge of SOX and access-control governance to support certification activity and audit-ready documentation
• Skill in building and presenting delivery and portfolio metrics for leadership
• Skill in stakeholder alignment across multiple product owners without direct authority
• Skill in producing executive-ready written status and governance communications
• Ability to review user stories, requirements, and release documentation for completeness and traceability
• Ability to coordinate release activity and change management across teams including UX, communications, and adoption
• Ability to operate within the Workday environment promotion path and regression planning

Responsibilities

• Own the HR Product Management intake and portfolio demand, triaging requests and prioritizing backlog
• Run cross-portfolio prioritization and roadmap delivery in a matrixed structure
• Track intake and delivery status, facilitate weekly syncs and status reporting
• Review user stories and release documentation for readiness and staging
• Support release management for scheduled production releases and migrations
• Produce portfolio and delivery metrics for leadership reviews
• Lead sprint planning and align team plans to the portfolio roadmap
• Own UX, change management and adoption for HR Product releases
• Support access certification and audit-control activity during release cycles
• Liaise with internal teams and external partners for Workday review and project planning
