Job summary

Aimbridge-Hospitality in Auburn, AL is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead maintenance and keep hotel systems running smoothly. You will oversee preventive maintenance, manage costs, and ensure guest comfort across the property.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in hotel maintenance or equivalent, supervisory experience, HVAC/pool/electrical certifications, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll conduct safety drills, manage repairs, and act as the property guardian with integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years hotel/related experience, or 2-year degree with 3+ years, or 4-year degree with 2+ years.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Current certifications as required (e.g., HVAC, pool, electrical).
• Licensed to operate/repair boilers and chillers per local laws.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Calm under pressure.
• Financial and arithmetic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance to keep every room and public space in tip-top shape.
• Lead, train, and schedule the engineering team.
• Conduct fire safety inspections and drills for guest safety.
• Respond to maintenance requests to boost guest service scores.
• Patrol grounds, handle Lost and Found, keep areas tidy and safe.
• Access sensitive areas and represent the company with integrity.
