Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality in Worcester, MA is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee hotel maintenance, lead the engineering team, and ensure equipment operates reliably for guest satisfaction and cost control.

You'll conduct safety inspections, plan shifts, manage guest maintenance requests, patrol grounds, control access to sensitive areas, and represent the brand with sound judgment daily. Strong supervisory experience and HVAC/pool/electrical certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Current certifications as required (e.g., HVAC, pool, electrical).
• Licensed to operate/repair boilers and chillers per local laws.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Calm under pressure.
• Financial and arithmetic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: keep rooms and public spaces in top shape per standards.
• Team leadership: train, lead, schedule shifts for the engineering crew.
• Safety: perform fire safety inspections and drills.
• Guest service: respond to maintenance requests to boost guest satisfaction.
• Property security: patrol grounds and manage Lost and Found.
• Representative: access sensitive areas with sound judgment.
