Job summary

Auburn, AL-based Aimbridge Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer to maintain hotel infrastructure, supervise the engineering team, and ensure safety and compliance across the property.

The role requires strong problem-solving, leadership, and a commitment to operational excellence. You will oversee HVAC and electrical systems, perform regular inspections, and respond quickly to service requests to maintain guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2-year degree with 3+ years hotel/related experience, or 4-year degree with 2+ years.
Supervisory experience required.
Current certifications such as HVAC, pool, electrical where applicable.
Licensed to operate/repair boilers and chillers per local laws.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong communication, decision making and problem solving.

Responsibilities

Maintain guest rooms and public spaces to brand standards.
Lead, train, and schedule the engineering team.
Perform fire safety inspections and drills.
Respond to maintenance requests and ensure guest satisfaction.
Patrol grounds and manage debris and Lost and Found items.
Access sensitive areas as a trusted company ambassador.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
