Job summary

Auburn, AL-based Aimbridge Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer to maintain hotel infrastructure, supervise the engineering team, and ensure safety and compliance across the property.

The role requires strong problem-solving, leadership, and a commitment to operational excellence. You will oversee HVAC and electrical systems, perform regular inspections, and respond quickly to service requests to maintain guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year degree with 3+ years hotel/related experience, or 4-year degree with 2+ years.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Current certifications such as HVAC, pool, electrical where applicable.
• Licensed to operate/repair boilers and chillers per local laws.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication, decision making and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest rooms and public spaces to brand standards.
• Lead, train, and schedule the engineering team.
• Perform fire safety inspections and drills.
• Respond to maintenance requests and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Patrol grounds and manage debris and Lost and Found items.
• Access sensitive areas as a trusted company ambassador.
