Job summary

KB Home is seeking a dynamic Superintendent/Construction Manager to lead the end-to-end homebuilding process in an assigned California community. You will direct staff and trade partners, manage schedules, and uphold quality and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a high school diploma plus experience in construction management, with a preference for advanced degrees. On-site work with potential overtime is expected as projects demand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Construction Management degree or certificate preferred.
• Minimum one year as a Construction Manager or Superintendent in homebuilding.
• 2–5 years construction experience with a production homebuilder preferred.
• Strong customer service, leadership and people skills.
• Proven customer-centric problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct KB staff and trade partners in constructing quality homes.
• Manage milestone reports and ensure homes are completed per schedule.
• Schedule and monitor trade partners and ensure safety compliance.
• Approve purchase orders and invoices, maintaining quality and timeliness.
• Maintain subdivision cleanliness and hold trade partners accountable.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely construction.
• Strive for superior customer service and 100% home deliveries.
• Resolve customer or construction concerns and conduct buyer orientations.
• Enforce safe site practices and daily status updates.
• Drive permit and inspection sign-off with NHQ partners.
