Job summary

B&S Site Development in Dublin, OH, is seeking Heavy Civil Superintendents to oversee field operations across active projects. You will direct crews, coordinate subcontractors, review plans, and ensure work meets safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets.

This role requires 5+ years in site development or heavy civil construction and proven supervisory experience. OSHA compliance, strong communication, and organization are essential; a valid driver's license is required, with OSHA 30

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in site development or heavy civil construction.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience as a Superintendent or similar leadership role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting civil plans and construction documents.
• Strong understanding of grading, utility installation, stormwater management, and paving.
• Knowledge of construction safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to lead and motivate field personnel effectively.
• Excellent organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Competency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, project management software).
• Valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 30 Certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily site operations and ensure project milestones are met.
• Coordinate and schedule crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Ensure work is performed according to design, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Monitor safety compliance and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
• Communicate daily with project managers regarding progress, issues, and solutions.
• Lead and mentor foremen and field crews to promote productivity and accountability.
• Manage inspections, testing, and documentation required by municipalities or clients.
• Identify potential risks or delays and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records including daily reports, timecards, and material logs.
