Teradyne in Agoura Hills is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead a Digital Instrumentation team, guiding design, prototyping, and testing of advanced test equipment. You will manage a hands-on engineering group and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality PCBs and PCAs.

The role blends leadership with deep technical expertise in digital circuits, high-speed layout, and SERDES protocols, ensuring reliability and manufacturability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on hardware engineering with a strong background in digital circuit instrument design.
• 3+ years in a leadership role, ideally player/coach.
• Strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles, circuit design, and signal integrity.
• Experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to hardware design, testing, and quality assurance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with high-speed PCB design and complex multi-layer designs.
• Strong understanding of SERDES technology and protocols (PCIe, 100G Ethernet).

Responsabilités

• Lead and mentor a team of hardware engineers, providing technical guidance and architectural direction.
• Oversee design, development, and testing of PCBs and PCBAs, focusing on high-quality, reliable designs.
• Oversee PCB layout, schematic design, and component selection to meet performance and manufacturability standards.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical engineering to ensure aligned project execution.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee hardware development projects from concept to production with timely delivery.
