Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a Sr. Hardware Engineering Lead for the Agoura Hills Digital Instrumentation team. You will balance hands-on circuit design with people leadership, guiding a team of hardware engineers in developing and testing advanced digital instrumentation.

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on experience in hardware engineering, with a strong background in digital circuit instrument design.
5+ years in a leadership role, ideally in a player/coach capacity requiring both technical contribution and team lead.
Strong understanding of electrical principles, circuit design, and signal integrity.
Experience with high-speed PCB design, SERDES (PCIe, 100G Ethernet) knowledge, and hardware debugging tools.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of hardware engineers, providing technical guidance and architectural direction.
Oversee hardware development projects from concept to production, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical engineering to align on project goals.
Oversee PCB layout, schematic design, and component selection to ensure manufacturability and performance.
Define the strategic direction of digital instrumentation and drive design reviews.
Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Ensure product reliability and quality through rigorous testing and process improvements.
