Teradyne seeks a Hardware Engineer in Defense & Aerospace to lead the design and development of digital, analog, and optical automated test hardware. You will drive PCB architecture, component selection, and hardware bring-up, partnering with mechanical, software, and systems teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

The role requires strong PCB design experience, verification expertise, and the ability to work with customers and cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and ensure

Formación

• BSEE or MSEE required and documented.
• 5–12 years PCBA design and simulation experience focusing on schematic and circuit design.
• Experience designing complex, high-speed, multi-layer PCB assemblies and reviewing artwork.
• Strong circuit characterization, verification, and debugging skills.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and customers.

Responsabilidades

• Implement PCB design processes with sound high-level architecture, component selection, schematic capture, and artwork for digital, analog, and optical instrumentation.
• Design, build, and maintain prototyping plans for new products with thorough bring-up and validation.
• Debug analog, digital, and bus-based hardware using lab equipment; collect and analyze verification data.
• Communicate design status, verification results, and technical risks clearly to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product managers, software, mechanical, and systems engineers to ensure manufacturability and customer impact.
• Work with operations and NPI teams to ensure designs are highly manufacturable.
• Execute verification strategies beyond nominal conditions, including worst-case and environmental stress analysis.
• Support design reviews to reduce risk and minimize respin rate.
