Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist to lead upper-extremity rehabilitation. The role focuses on evaluation, splinting, and postoperative recovery, with collaboration across hand surgeons and therapists.

Responsibilities include direct supervision of staff and educating patients on orthosis use, with emphasis on wound care, edema control, and return-to-work strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in OT/PT.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT/PT program with licensure in the state.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for hand and upper-extremity rehab.
• Document delivery of occupational/physical therapy services.
• Direct supervision of assistants, students and support staff.
• Design and fit custom orthoses and splints; educate on use and care.
• Treat post-surgical, orthopedic, burn, tendon, nerve conditions and rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
