Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Oklahoma is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to lead and deliver skilled upper-extremity rehabilitation for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, design custom splints, and develop individualized recovery plans in collaboration with surgeons and therapists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or DOT preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability of the patient.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions; educate patients on wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions; scar management and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals; participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
