Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a Lead Guide to build and coach a high-performing team of Guides and life-skills coaches at our K-12 program. You will drive coaching, leadership development, and create an environment where students exceed expectations.

This role focuses on people leadership, not classroom teaching, using data and coaching conversations to raise performance. Based on our campuses in Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; and Greenwich, CT, the Lead Guide leads on-site, with relocation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or related leadership role.
• Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people, including hiring and performance-based termination decisions.
• Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Guides to deliver exceptional student experiences while upholding high standards.
• Lead life-skills workshops developing communication, leadership, focus, and real-world skills for K-12 students.
• Motivate students to achieve ambitious learning goals in self-directed programs.
• Use data, observation, and coaching conversations to improve Guide performance and student outcomes.
• Help launch new Alpha campuses by building a culture of excellence and accountability.
