Job summary

Stellar Virtual is seeking a Supervisor for Grades 6-8 to ensure academic success and student well-being within the assigned grade levels. The role blends curriculum design, leadership, and mentorship with a strong focus on virtual instruction and data-informed decisions.

The position requires 3–5 years of teaching experience and proven leadership in a virtual setting, plus Texas teaching certification. Remote work, strong internet, and Google Workspace are essential to daily duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience.
• Previous leadership experience in a virtual academic setting.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Proficiency in using virtual learning platforms and educational technology.
• Dedication to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite in a professional or academic setting.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels with high clarity and low ambiguity.
• Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and curriculum specialists to develop, refine, and implement grade-level curriculum that aligns with standards.
• Ensure curriculum materials and instructional methods cater to diverse learning needs across grade levels.
• Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to teachers within grade levels.
• Lead regular grade-level team meetings to discuss instructional strategies, student progress, and interventions.
• Model best practices in teaching, including differentiated instruction and technology integration.
• Utilize assessment data to monitor progress and develop targeted interventions.
• Analyze assessment data to inform instructional decisions and professional development.
• Collaborate to develop and administer assessments that measure mastery of objectives.
• Establish open communication with families and provide updates on progress and events.
• Organize grade-level parent meetings and workshops to promote home-school partnerships.
• Coordinate grade-level activities and field trips with safety considerations.
• Assist in resource procurement and staff recruitment within grade levels.
• Ensure online classrooms are conducive to learning and appropriate for development.
• Attend ARDs as assigned and proctor state tests as needed.
