Job summary

Stellar Virtual is seeking a Secondary Teacher, Social Studies (6-8) to deliver standards-aligned virtual instruction for middle school students. The role emphasizes data-driven planning, engaging live lessons, and differentiated instruction.

The teacher will create inclusive virtual classrooms, monitor progress, and provide timely feedback. Collaboration with counselors and support staff will support student success in a remote learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, History, Social Studies or related field.
• Experience delivering virtual instruction and managing online classrooms.
• Familiarity with TEKS or state standards.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adapt social studies curriculum aligned to TEKS for grades 6–8.
• Deliver live virtual lessons using diverse instructional strategies.
• Maintain a positive, structured virtual classroom environment.
• Implement classroom management for remote learning.
• Design and evaluate formative and summative assessments.
• Provide actionable feedback on assignments and assessments.
• Support asynchronous learning activities with leadership.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Monitor student performance using data for interventions.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about progress.
• Collaborate with teams to improve student outcomes.
• Participate in professional development on virtual instruction.
