Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks an experienced field service leader to manage on-site GIS installations for 69kV–550kV substations across the United States. You will coordinate construction, testing, and commissioning activities with customers, subcontractors, and project teams.

The role requires deep HV equipment knowledge, 10 years in field service or construction management, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Work authorization to work in the United States.
• Minimum of 10 years of field service or construction management experience (substation or HV equipment).
• Technical certificate or associate degree in an electrical or mechanical related field.
• Experience supervising erection and testing activities for HV substations and equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for energized HV substations.
• Valid driver’s license and OSHA 10 training (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate GIS field execution on live sites.
• Serve as Hitachi Energy’s on-site representative to customers and subcontractors.
• Supervise field teams to support quality, productivity, safety, and schedule.
• Oversee adherence to drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Perform field testing including SF6 leak detection and power factor testing.
• Prepare clear field documentation and project records.
