RESPEC, a leading geoscience and engineering firm, seeks an experienced Geochemist to lead mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting efforts across North America. The role involves mentoring staff, engaging with clients, and delivering innovative solutions on complex projects.

The position offers remote or office-based options with periodic travel, and a pathway to grow within a multidisciplinary team focused on sustainable energy, water, and mining challenges.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Geochemistry or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead geochemical characterization programs for mining projects.
• Direct laboratory and field investigations related to mine waste and biogeochemical processes.
• Interpret geochemical, environmental, hydrogeological, and biogeochemical datasets.
• Conduct and oversee predictive geochemical and hydrogeochemical modeling studies.
• Lead design, construction, operation, and interpretation of laboratory testing programs.
• Review technical analyses and deliverables prepared by junior staff.
• Prepare and review technical reports and client deliverables.
• Ensure technical quality across projects.
• Contribute to industry advancement through publications and presentations.
• Manage projects from initiation to completion, including scope, schedule, and budget.
