Job summary

RESPEC is seeking an experienced Geochemist to provide technical leadership within its mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting practice. The role supports complex projects across North America with flexible options to work remotely or from RESPEC office locations.

Periodic travel to client sites and conferences is expected. The candidate will lead geochemical characterization, predictive modeling, and biogeochemical treatment projects while mentoring staff and driving business growth.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in Geochemistry, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
Minimum 5+ years in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
Demonstrated expertise in managing technical consulting projects.
Excellent technical writing, verbal, and presentation abilities.
Client management and business development track record.

Responsibilities

Lead geochemical characterization programs and modeling studies.
Direct lab and field investigations related to mine waste, mine water, and biogeochemical processes.
Interpret geochemical, environmental and hydrogeochemical data sets; review deliverables.
Manage projects from initiation through completion within scope, schedule and budget.
Prepare technical reports and client deliverables; support business development.
