Job summary

RESPEC seeks an experienced Geochemist to lead mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry projects across North America. You will mentor staff, guide technical strategies, and deliver innovative solutions for client engagements with a multidisciplinary team.

This role offers remote or office-based work options, periodic travel, and opportunities to shape our biogeochemistry practice while expanding capabilities in predictive modeling, mine water management, and environmental sciences.

Qualifications

Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in geochemistry or related field.
Minimum 5+ years in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
Experience managing technical consulting projects.

Responsibilities

Lead geochemical characterization programs for mining projects.
Direct laboratory and field investigations related to mine waste and water.
Interpret geochemical datasets and modeling results.
Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality.
Mentor and develop junior staff and oversee technical deliverables.
Develop client relationships and prepare technical/proposal materials.
Promote safety and high-quality work across projects.
