RESPEC is seeking an experienced Geochemist to provide technical leadership within mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting. The role involves leading geochemical characterization, modeling studies, and multidisciplinary collaboration across North America, with remote work options and travel as needed.

The ideal candidate has an advanced degree (MS/PhD), 5+ years in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting, and a proven ability to manage complex projects and develop client

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in geochemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
• Professional Geologist (PG/P.Geo) registration or ability to obtain.
• Experience conducting or overseeing predictive geochemical and hydrogeochemical modeling studies.

Responsabilités

• Lead geochemical characterization programs for mining projects.
• Direct laboratory and field investigations related to mine waste, mine water, and biogeochemical processes.
• Interpret geochemical, environmental, hydrogeological, and biogeochemical datasets.
• Lead the design, construction, operation, and interpretation of laboratory testing programs.
• Manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
