Job summary
RESPEC is seeking an experienced Geochemist to provide technical leadership within our mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting practice. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex projects, mentor professionals, and deliver innovative solutions for clients across North America.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on mine water management, tailings, and environmental sciences, perform geochemical characterization, predictive modeling, and biogeochemical
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Geochemistry or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
- Experience managing technical consulting projects.
- Excellent technical writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Professional Geologist registration or ability to obtain.
- Experience with geochemical modeling studies.
- Willingness to travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead geochemical characterization programs for mining projects.
- Direct lab and field investigations of mine waste and water.
- Interpret geochemical and hydrogeochemical datasets.
- Conduct predictive geochemical modeling studies.
- Prepare technical reports and client deliverables.
- Mentor junior staff and support business development.
